The God Damn Goddess

Hi folks, I'm back. It's me in the flesh.
Don't know if you love me yet. But, I'm a patient man so we can talk about that later. Can anyone tell me about what is going on in Wall Street? What are they protesting about? Are they for capitalism or something else. Yes, I know, I should just Google it. I just haven't gotten around to it and this way I might get am interesting answer.

Sad about Steve Jobs leaving us. He gave a boring heap of elements style. Even when he appeared not to posess it. Great guy. Still don't want an iPhone but an iPod Touch is another matter - equating to Homer and doughnuts or beer.

eBay has been a feature this week. 6 items for just over £50. The steal was a black pair of Adidas Stan Smith for £20 free p&p. These babies retail for over £50. And hopefully my wing mount speakers and covers will arive this week. Seller has been delaying tonight's excuse was, his lady is about to drop a sprog. I'm too nice. Not enough Darth Vader in me.

Time for my dinner. KFC with Italian Red Wine. Classy!!

Death of a Candle or Star

Credit: Google Images
Amy Winehouse 1983 - 2011, passed away today. Her death is mixed up with drink and drugs. Undisclosed if it was suicide or other. I will check again tomorrow but you will all know by then.
I first heard her on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross back in March 2004. I loved her voice and she looked fabulous I can't remember what song she performed but I do remember vigorously recommending her to friends. It could have been Frank.
I only ever liked the Frank Album so did not really pay attention to her after that. I never knew who Pete Doherty was or The Libertines. I read about her getting mashed mostly.
But somehow somewhere, I hoped she could recapture the purity of Frank, come back to Earth and bestow upon us what we rightly deserved. Good music!
The airways are currently filled with condolences and I have spotted a "Best Friend" in the name of Kelly Osborne who Tweeted that she knew the real Amy and will never forget her. Yea, she knew exactly what went on. Is someone looking for publicity? I know I am. Some are calling her a "lost soul" or "poor creature". OK, but she did it to herself just like I afflict myself knowingly. I understand the consequences to myself and those around me. It is my choice. Just as I presume it was her choice to embrace the life-style she chose. Let us not forget, she had access to good medical care.
It is sad when we are robbed of talent. I sometimes wonder what Bob Marley would be producing today or would he have simply retired on the day he was meant to die? And I ask, can we really own talent? Or do we just borrow it for a while and it is rescinded without notice.

RIP Amy.

Music Review

Artist: Bobbi DeNiro
Genre: Hip Hop
Rating: 3/5

Downloaded this Album album yesterday on recommendation from the Author, Bobbi DeNiro who hails from Wilmington, Delaware USA.
Bobbi began his career as an inner city battle rapper in the Tri State area of Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland. During his earlier years he developed his musical skills and began making beats. More than your average rapper that produces or producer that raps, Bobbi also delves into engineering, artist development as well as video production to name a few of his talents.

Bobbi’s style is eclectic, but unlike other rappers of the same, he owns this projection. I enjoyed the simple yet deep lyrical flows. No WACK lines here!
I really enjoyed track 2: D.E.N.I.R.O and was bouncing to this beat, great lyrical flow and a BIG SOUND.
Track 6: I’m in Love with Money had me rocking my head from side to side. I really wanna mix this tune. Very wholesome I thought.
Track 11: Fuck all that Shit is what I like to call “Traffic Light Music”. Again big sound. I imagine my windows down at the lights, volume up. Green Light GO! Stop at the next lights in time for “Fuck all that Shit” and a big smug grin on my face.

Overall a good solid production, full of diversity in lyrics, beats and flow. Bobbi owns the eclectic lyrical style he employs. Vitual DJ here I come. However some tracks off this album “hang”, they don’t feel complete. It’s hard to explain but please don’t let this comment persuade you from steering away. I could say the same thing for the likes of Slum Village, as an example.
You have to get Bobbi’s music and follow his development. Bobbi got Skills.

Q&A

A: Yes
Q: Would I recommend Bobbi DeNiro?
A: Yes
Q: Would I buy Bobbi a drink?
A: 4Sure

Went to see the gate keeper after vowing never to see him again. He still looks great and an audience the Moon Goddess can't be all bad.

The Exploding Don Simon

Found a bottle of Don Simon Premium Clementine fruit juice in a crate belonging to a mate earlier. I'm returning said crate in a bit. Did not think anything of taking the top off to empty the bottle before I binned it. BANG! Exploded in my hands, juice everywhere- hands, walls and a lot of me. "Interesting", I thought. Smelt awfull but at some point it may have been a pretty decent fruit punch.
Now off to said mates birtday party. Hopefully a single, good looking lady will want to talk to me. More later...

Day 1 done!

Site sorted for now. The fish like it. Hope you do untill I get creative again. Brandy is swiming my head to another plain. Just watched 'The Social Network'. The inspiration has yet to engulf me. Did learn that the lead, Jesse Eisenberg was in 'Roger Dodger' which you must see if you haven't. Chinese take away ordered and Torchwood on iPlayer and the gap in Gwen's front teeth seems bigger.
I'd still get with her though.
More brandy and then to bed!

Afternoon of Day 1, on the futon

Nothing much has happened. Still working on the Blog page design. I dont want a page that screams ME ME ME, but it must posses identity. Vanity eh. It's a bitch.

Well just gotta keep trying different things, embrace creative thought and rip off other peoples designs. Simplicity is the key I hear.

Day 1

Just signed up and thinking of something witty to say to the world. I cant so I'll say: I'm drinking coffee (since 9:35am) with brandy my sister brought back from Tenerife for my brother and I. I have watched Gomorrah and thought, poor Silvio, how embarrassing for you, you Bastard! Also attempting to get up to-date Hip Hop news but its full of crappy artists I have no respect for. Although I found 2 gems yesterday:
1- DJ Jazzy Jeff mix-tape/stream (whatever you wanna call it) Ft. Mick Boogie. A cool journey into the not so distant history of Rn'B. You should recognise most tunes and if you don't, you taste in Rn'B/Urban is questionable. 3.5/5*
2- Alexis Foxe. I discovered her on Last FM while tuned into 4th Pyramid radio. She sounds awsome and I love the 40's revival TING. Oh she also looks good but that has nothing to do with why I like her (liar).. 4/5*

Oh I love Angry Boys but hate S.Mouse! out of principal. S.Mouse stands for everything Hip Hop should not. But I digest his offering.
